Local candidates are able to appoint a representative to lodge returns on their behalf.
As a local candidate user, log in to EDS, then go to your My Profile page by clicking your name in the top right corner, then clicking ‘Profile’. Click ‘Representatives’ in the side menu. There are three sections.
If you have any existing representatives their name will be shown in this section. Click the ‘x’ next to their name to remove them as a representative.
To nominate a representative that is already a registered EDS user, type in the representatives user name, first name or last name and select the representative from the list of suggestions. Once you select a suggested user know to the EDS, the plus button will be enabled. Press the plus button to add them as your representative.
If representative user does not appear in the list of suggestions, they may have not yet registered with EDS. Use ‘Invite representative’ section to send an invitation.
If the representative does not already have an EDS account, you will need to send them an invite to register. Fill in their first name, last name and e-mail address, and click ‘Send invitation’.
EDS will send them an e-mail containing an invitation link. When the nominated person follows the link, their profile will be created and associated with yours.
